2010 SEC Championship Game Preview: Auburn Tigers Vs. South Carolina Gamecocks

On December 4, 2010, all the bitter competitions and ardent match-ups of the SEC will come to a head when the Auburn Tigers and South Carolina Gamecocks go face-to-face in Atlanta to determine who will be the 2010 winner of the Southeastern Conference. This hot battle comes with important national involvements and rights to glory.
It's going to be the first time since 2000 that the coach with more SEC Championship Game appearances than any other will head his team into the Georgia Dome with a BCS cup bid on the line. Steve Spurrier's South Carolina Gamecocks are going to participate in their initial championship game appearance and having never won the SEC, though Spurrier himself made it seven times in the 1990s as the head coach of the Florida Gators.

They will meet the juggernaut Auburn Tigers, to whom they lost 37-25 on Sept. 27 in Jordan-Hare Stadium, which made them one of four teams to come within a score of the Tigers.
