Beef O’Brady’s Bowl was first played following the 2008 college football season. The bowl game places teams from the Big East Conference and USA Conference against one another. It is a NCAA Division I FBS college football bowl game played annually at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The Southern Miss Golden Eagles, out of the USA Conference will continue their rivalry from the ‘80’s and ‘90’s with the Louisville Cardinals from the Big East in the Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Bowl in St. Petersburg, Florida on Tuesday, Dec. 21. Kickoff is at Tropicana Field at 8 p.m and the game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
Southern Miss moved the ball through both the air and the ground this season. The result is being ranked the 15th scoring offense in the nations. Louisville was a 40-13 winner in their most recent outing on the road against Rutgers. They covered the 3–point spread, while the total score (53) made them winners.
This time Louisville will count on its running game to take control of both scrimmage lines and the clock to keep the Golden Eagles’ offense off the field for as much as possible.
