Sun Bowl 2010: Miami Hurricanes vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Sun Bowl 2010 could easily be taken as a TV rating nirvana for the bowl's organizers, as it’s already decided that the Miami Hurricanes will play against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on December 31st in El Paso, Texas (cheap tickets).

Both of them will compete in the matchup with 7-5 records, but under different circumstances. Miami left behind a shameful loss to South Florida that lead to job loss for the head coach Randy Shannon. That game was right away after a disillusioning and slushy loss to Virginia Tech.

Notre Dame appears from a different angle, having hoped to win vs. USC to complete a smooth 3-game winning streak that already included wins over Utah and Army. That was all done, by the way, without key players Kyle Rudolph and Dane Crist.

So don’t miss the chance to see how these two teams will bring their great national followings and high-profile programs together in El Paso, Texas. They will play one of the more storied bowl games left on the national stage. The game promises to be a balanced and entertaining with a holiday mood.
