Needless to say, that Sheraton Hawaii Bowl 2010 is now set in stone, because Tulsa has officially accepted their invitation to compete with the Hawaii Warriors in the famous Hawaii home game that is the Hawaii Bowl, at the Aloha Stadium on December 24th (Buy cheap tickets here).
The Warriors had played in 5 of the 8 Hawaii Bowls that took place since name change in 2002, and they have run up 3-2 record in their 5 games up to date. At the same time Hawaii are satisfied with a very strong season in 2010, going 9-3 and presenting the Nevada Wolf Pack their only loss this year.
I think, the Warriors should deserve another bowl game, but anyway they stay at home and welcome Tulsa, who almost missed out on the possibility to play for the Conference USA title due to their loss to SMU back in late October. So a school that is based in Oklahoma will celebrate their solid season in a trip to Hawaii.
It is hardly probable that Tulsa can overcome Hawaii's decided home field preference in the current game, most likely that the 3rd-place WAC team will get a win at home. Despite the fact that Tulsa’ victory wouldn't be shocking given Hawaii's mixed result in other Hawaii Bowl games.
